POSTING YOUR INNERMOST FEELINGS AND EMOTIONS IS KINDA SCARY!!! lOl I mean ULTIMATELY you realize that its not so much for anyones approval, but lets be honest, who likes to feel "exposed"? And yeah yeah yeah MONSTROUS EGO and all are vanquished like the Titans of old by the flash of the mighty thunderbolts. So why do it? *shrugging shoulders* You're asking the wrong guy! So who else could you POSSIBLY ask? How about YOU? Why do YOU ever lay your feelings on the line. Why bother to feel at all if you're not going to share them. And if the person you're sharing them with can't appreciate that this is You or Me at this very moment than why are we waisting our time with them, they are self serving and You are more or less a busboy (or girl) constantly cleaning up someone else's MESS!! And at times these vindictive, mean spirited ppl we "love" so much leave filth ON PURPOSE just for You to clean up. And that's not fair (but what is? right? Ma'at IS, but that's a WHOLE OTHER BLOG lOl)

We must find the Divine within us, and let it out. We waist our lives searching outside of us for what was right here all along.

So, you just picked up a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle of a beautiful sunset in the Florida Keys. From the photograph you can tell there is a gentle breeze blowing in the evening sun as the palm trees are bend to the will of the summer breeze. There is a couple sailing on the horizon as sea gulls grab an early evening meal just shy of their boat. The view of the beautiful sunset puts you at peace and your desires are now to complete this puzzle that you may gaze upon its brilliance. So you begin the tedious task of putting this puzzle together. You're not sure whether you really have the time, but you convince yourself that by taking your time with it, you can complete your task in due time. You take even available minute of your day and dedicate it to the task at hand, and you build. You are now beginning to see this masterpiece come together, and it brings a smile to your face. And as you feel that you are drawing to close, the a CRUSHING realization... you're missing puzzle pieces. *cue GLOOM AND DOOM music* Now the question of the day, did you loose these puzzle pieces OR were they not there when you started i.e. did you EVER have a chance to begin with?

And so it is with relationships in the beginning. We want that picture perfect, image of a relationship and we do everything we THINK is right to build it up, and at some point, we find that we just don't "have what it takes". Its that unhinging, brutal truth that gets you. You NEVER EVEN HAD A CHANCE. And as gut wrenching and heartbreaking as it may be, is there a silver lining? REALLY?!? Is that "Vision of Love" enough? Is it worth counting up the pieces from the start? Is that even an OPTION? How are we supposed to know? Or it is the "mystery" that which DRIVES US? This blog offers no answers, just clever questions, expressed the way I felt the times when I realized that I was missing the necessary pieces to have the one I wanted. Its how I felt when I stepped back, away from the incomplete picture, and lamented at my failure and realized some pieces I legitimately lost along the way, FOR THOSE, I am the blame. But the pain of not having had a chance at all, is not of my design and all my "swag" or "chivalry" or "personality" etc could have changed that...

...regardless, I'm taking of moment of silence for the Death of MY Swag (or whatever you want to call it)...

...My Ego Has Taken More Shots Than I Care To Count, And In This Moment, I Am Down And Out For The Count...

Its been a while since I've had the time or energy to blog so here we go... TONIGHT'S TOPIC: The Questions

This idea came to me when I thought about how "hell bent" some people get on forcing someone to give a "yes" or "no" answer to their questioning. RARELY, will you EVER get one of these from me and if you do, I suggest you "question the answer" cause its PROBABLY NOT what you think... but with me, what ever is...

QUESTIONS!!!!

They can be tricky, and we have to be VERY cautious. When a person asks you a question and DEMANDS a "yes" or "no" answer, they give you the illusion of choice, but when you respond, you don't realize that you are accepting ALL of their terms and conditions. You are bending TOTALLY and COMPLETELY to THEIR will. You are accepting EVERYTHING that is IMPLIED in their questionING. SO....

...I don't "answer questions, with questions" I take the time to clarify WHAT IT IS that you're REALLY asking me and the PURPOSE for the question. What are you implying? See, HEREIN lies the basis of conversation... COMMUNICATION! Cause until we understand what language we're speaking the meanings can get confused and you'll end up accused of something you're "not trying to say". And once you've said what others THINK you mean, THEY no longer want to hear, as if they did to begin with....

EVERY culture throughout the Ancient world had a "Trickster" and whether he went by Elegbara, Pan, Anasi, or Genie, their purpose is the same. They called upon us to CAUTIOUS in our questioning and our desires, because ULTIMATELY, you "got what you asked for". Over time, these "Tricksters" became "models" for the Christian concept of the "devil" (even in the case of Pan, taking on his goat-like appearance and crimson hue). Even serpants get a "bad rap" cause he simply said to Eve, if you eat it you'll know good from evil... did he "lie"? Did he "tempt" her? He told her THE TRUTH and let her decide for herself. AND THEN she goes to Adam, and He CHOSE to do the same thing... and FOR THE REST OF ETERNITY, ITS EVE AND THE SNAKES FAULT?!? In the words of Riley Freeman, "At what point does personal responsiblity play a factor?"

People want SOMEONE, other than themselves of course, to BLAME... WHY? So THEY CAN PLAY THE VICTIM!!! So who's tricking who exactly?

It Ain't Trickin If You Got It.... FREE WILL that is... So take some personal responsiblity for a change and stop letting manipulative people bend you to their whims. Dr Wade Noble defines POWER as the ability to define someone's reality and have them ascribe to it as if it was their own... THAT'S POWERFUL!!!

So DARE to ask the hard questions...

...AND DON'T LET ANY MAN OR WOMAN DEFINE WHO YOU ARE!!! That is work for YOU and your CREATOR because NO ONE ELSE is worthy! So question them all. Because as I have said before, before you can OVERstand (see the big PICTURE), you must UNDERstand (see its ROOTS)...

Essay On A Warm Gun

So I decided it was time for a sort of "user guide" for my blogs and rants and such. In order to REALLY enjoy these things, without thinking I'm a complete lunatic, just assume that I already know the answer to questions I ask. This purely entertainment, and the quality of dialouge that comes out of these random topics is invaluable! I Think Andre 3000 said it BEST, "Speeches only reaches those who already know about, this is how we go about it!" I the spirit of the Socratic Method of questioning the world around us, we challenge the ignorant and closed minded. You have the right to you opinion, just prepare to defend it (I love playing "devil's advocate")

Muhahahahahaha!!!!

But as we know, the well know axiom states, "The Unexamined Life Is Not Worth Living"! So be prepared to defend your frame of thinking or have it forever raptured up to that which is all and nothing (ponder THAT ONE for a minute) LoL!!!!

So what is that whole "Happiness is a Warm Gun Thing Anyway", well simply put, its the comfort and euphoria that comes with RELEASE!!! I am sick of biting my tongue about the gross injustices I see around me and this is YOUR opportunity to hear my ideas out, BEFORE you speak. Kroger Country

Okay, most know that I've become somewhat of a night owl so living in the South, its imperative that I know where to pick up snacks and such in the wee hours of the morning. For most, this is a NO BRAINER: WALLY WORLD!!! But, getting off work at 12am and going to Wally World is SUICIDE!!! They're ALWAYS crowded and there's always only ONE or 2 cashiers. Well what else can you expect, us night owls are either getting OFF or going IN our even going OUT so unless you know the trick, ELECTRONICS CHECKOUT, than you're STUCK!!!

MY PREFERENCE: Kroger

No one knows how much I love Kroger except the cashier and the security guard at the St Andrews branch next to where I stay. There is one thing about Kroger that DRIVES ME UP THE WALL THOUGH... they ALWAYS have Country music playing *yelling in anguish and torture* I HATE Country music!!! Except maybe the really OLD country music from like the 50s and 60s when it was nothing more than the Blues.

NOW, when I say I hate country music, lets be clear... we're talking nails on a chalk board here dear readers!!! It drives me insane! I ACTUALLY feel my brain hemorrhaging (well not "ACTUALLY", but you KNOW what I mean). Having worked in retail before, I know better than to play most Hip Hop and R&B in a place where it could "offend" customers. WELL COUNTRY MUSIC OFFENDS MY EARS!!! OMG!!! *deep breath* Music in a business should cater to the targeted demographic and should just generally soothe the shopper and coax them into staying longer and spending more money... NOT RUN THEM OUT OF THE STORE SCREAMING BLOODY MURDER!!! Spend too much time in them midst of this nonsense, you may leave ready to slit your wrists (okay, that's unfair, but this is MY BLOG, deal with it LoL... kidding... sorta...)

Now I will admit that St Andrews HAS gotten better and added more Oldies, Classic Rock, and Eighties "Hair Bands" to their late night mix, IRMO... DO BETTA!!! I couldn't even focus long enough to do my shopping in peace.

And while I'm ranting on music, where has the Soul in the music gone? Are we constantly dumbing down and being dumbed down. Where's the music that inspires REVOLUTIONARIES? Where's the passionately intense melodies that stir our very souls? I do give much respect to Lizz Wright, Cassandra Wilson, Jill Scott, Yahzarah, and Ryan Leslie (to name a few) that still give us THAT FEELING... But has it ALWAYS been that mainstream artists pump out mind numbing CRAP while the Donnie Hathaways are enjoyed by the real LISTENERS? I don't know... DO YOU?

Here's the SHOCK of Lifetime.... I HAVE A TEMPER!!! Yeah! Its TRUE!!! I Despise Rude People, They Cause Me Great Anger, And While I'm Better Than I Used To Be, If I've Told You In A Nice Way More Than Once... BRACE YOURSELF! I Feel Like If Y0u Continue To, With NO REMORSE MIND YOU, Do The Thing That I Told You Angers Me, You Really Don't Care! THEREFORE, You're About To Catch It!

And I Try To Tell People Up Front That I CAN BE An Azz, But I Guess It Goes Back To The Conversations We've Been Having On Male/Female Relations On Facebook Lately, We Hear What We Want To Hear.

That Being Said, Am I Really Communicating My Feelings Correctly? *shrugging shoulders* Don't Know, Guess I'm Gonna Have To Pay Closer Attention In The Future.

I Think We Place Too Much Emphasis On "Forgetting", Our Experiences Are A Collection Of Our Life Choices And They're Just Being Repeated OVER and OVER Again, So Wouldn't It Make More Sense To Have That Collection Of Life Experiences At Our Disposal? If We Understand That, Then We TRULY Understand (and yes I say UNDERstand vs OVERstand, because the real meaning of UNDERstanding a thing is to see the ROOT causes of the thing; its foundation. If you know the how and the why, than the resolution is simpler... just food for thought) Why In "Afrocentric" or "Wholistic" Approaches To Living, We Venerate The Ancestors; You Then Have All The Experiences Of All Who Have Come Before You. Combine That With The Wisdom Of The Elders, And Maybe Even I Can Find Someone With A Temper Like Mine, And Figure Out How THEY Dealt With It. And That Is A Comforting Thought, NOT Being Alone... Cause I Feel Alone, A LOT!!!

So I sit in silence,

And pass the time with phases of quiet reflecting,
