Essay On A Warm Gun

So I decided it was time for a sort of "user guide" for my blogs and rants and such. In order to REALLY enjoy these things, without thinking I'm a complete lunatic, just assume that I already know the answer to questions I ask. This purely entertainment, and the quality of dialouge that comes out of these random topics is invaluable! I Think Andre 3000 said it BEST, "Speeches only reaches those who already know about, this is how we go about it!" I the spirit of the Socratic Method of questioning the world around us, we challenge the ignorant and closed minded. You have the right to you opinion, just prepare to defend it (I love playing "devil's advocate")

But as we know, the well know axiom states, "The Unexamined Life Is Not Worth Living"! So be prepared to defend your frame of thinking or have it forever raptured up to that which is all and nothing (ponder THAT ONE for a minute) LoL!!!!

So what is that whole "Happiness is a Warm Gun Thing Anyway", well simply put, its the comfort and euphoria that comes with RELEASE!!! I am sick of biting my tongue about the gross injustices I see around me and this is YOUR opportunity to hear my ideas out, BEFORE you speak. Cause lets face it, most people don't REALLY listen, they just wait for their turn to speak... (classic Fight Club line and SO MUCH TRUTH)... Well friends, until next time, BLOW A LOAD!!! Kroger Country

Okay, most know that I've become somewhat of a night owl so living in the South, its imperative that I know where to pick up snacks and such in the wee hours of the morning. For most, this is a NO BRAINER: WALLY WORLD!!! But, getting off work at 12am and going to Wally World is SUICIDE!!! They're ALWAYS crowded and there's always only ONE or 2 cashiers. Well what else can you expect, us night owls are either getting OFF or going IN our even going OUT so unless you know the trick, ELECTRONICS CHECKOUT, than you're STUCK!!!

MY PREFERENCE: Kroger

No one knows how much I love Kroger except the cashier and the security guard at the St Andrews branch next to where I stay. There is one thing about Kroger that DRIVES ME UP THE WALL THOUGH... they ALWAYS have Country music playing *yelling in anguish and torture* I HATE Country music!!! Except maybe the really OLD country music from like the 50s and 60s when it was nothing more than the Blues.

NOW, when I say I hate country music, lets be clear... we're talking nails on a chalk board here dear readers!!! It drives me insane! I ACTUALLY feel my brain hemorrhaging (well not "ACTUALLY", but you KNOW what I mean). Having worked in retail before, I know better than to play most Hip Hop and R&B in a place where it could "offend" customers. WELL COUNTRY MUSIC OFFENDS MY EARS!!! OMG!!! *deep breath* Music in a business should cater to the targeted demographic and should just generally soothe the shopper and coax them into staying longer and spending more money... NOT RUN THEM OUT OF THE STORE SCREAMING BLOODY MURDER!!! Spend too much time in them midst of this nonsense, you may leave ready to slit your wrists (okay, that's unfair, but this is MY BLOG, deal with it LoL... kidding... sorta...)

Now I will admit that St Andrews HAS gotten better and added more Oldies, Classic Rock, and Eighties "Hair Bands" to their late night mix, IRMO... DO BETTA!!! I couldn't even focus long enough to do my shopping in peace.

And while I'm ranting on music, where has the Soul in the music gone? Are we constantly dumbing down and being dumbed down. Where's the music that inspires REVOLUTIONARIES? Where's the passionately intense melodies that stir our very souls? I do give much respect to Lizz Wright, Cassandra Wilson, Jill Scott, Yahzarah, and Ryan Leslie (to name a few) that still give us THAT FEELING... But has it ALWAYS been that mainstream artists pump out mind numbing CRAP while the Donnie Hathaways are enjoyed by the real LISTENERS? I don't know... DO YOU?

Fire And Ice

Here's the SHOCK of Lifetime.... I HAVE A TEMPER!!! Yeah! Its TRUE!!! I Despise Rude People, They Cause Me Great Anger, And While I'm Better Than I Used To Be, If I've Told You In A Nice Way More Than Once... BRACE YOURSELF! I Feel Like If Y0u Continue To, With NO REMORSE MIND YOU, Do The Thing That I Told You Angers Me, You Really Don't Care! THEREFORE, You're About To Catch It!

And I Try To Tell People Up Front That I CAN BE An Azz, But I Guess It Goes Back To The Conversations We've Been Having On Male/Female Relations On Facebook Lately, We Hear What We Want To Hear.

That Being Said, Am I Really Communicating My Feelings Correctly? *shrugging shoulders* Don't Know, Guess I'm Gonna Have To Pay Closer Attention In The Future.

I Think We Place Too Much Emphasis On "Forgetting", Our Experiences Are A Collection Of Our Life Choices And They're Just Being Repeated OVER and OVER Again, So Wouldn't It Make More Sense To Have That Collection Of Life Experiences At Our Disposal? If We Understand That, Then We TRULY Understand (and yes I say UNDERstand vs OVERstand, because the real meaning of UNDERstanding a thing is to see the ROOT causes of the thing; its foundation. If you know the how and the why, than the resolution is simpler... just food for thought) Why In "Afrocentric" or "Wholistic" Approaches To Living, We Venerate The Ancestors; You Then Have All The Experiences Of All Who Have Come Before You. Combine That With The Wisdom Of The Elders, And Maybe Even I Can Find Someone With A Temper Like Mine, And Figure Out How THEY Dealt With It. And That Is A Comforting Thought, NOT Being Alone... Cause I Feel Alone, A LOT!!!

So I sit in silence,

Seeking to fill my head with the soothing melody of nothing,

And pass the time with phases of quiet reflecting,

Expecting to loose my pain into the abyss where everything,

And nothing exist simultaneous...
